A global pharmaceutical company asked us to design their highest-performing year on record into a travel reward. The brief: 65 top-performing delegates from 12 countries, 7 nights, both islands, a gala dinner that would be remembered in a decade, and a 100% delegate satisfaction score.
The programme had to navigate a 5-day lead time reduction from the original brief, a venue change at 8 weeks out, and two delegates with complex accessibility requirements — all without the client seeing any of the complexity.
Primary venue cancelled at 8 weeks -- peak season, no comparable alternatives showing availability.
Direct lodge relationship secured a full buyout within 48 hours. Client was notified of a "programme enhancement." No disruption.
Two delegates with wheelchair requirements -- Milford Sound and Blanket Bay were originally inaccessible routes.
Helicopter transfers and adapted vessel access arranged. Both delegates completed the full programme without modification to their experience.
