Every major NZ city has excellent Indian restaurants -- from casual dhaba-style to fine dining. Auckland's Sandringham Road is NZ's "Little India" with dozens of authentic Indian restaurants. We include Indian dining recommendations in every itinerary.
New Zealand is vegetarian-friendly. Every major restaurant can accommodate vegetarian and vegan requirements. We advise all suppliers in advance and pre-select menus for vegetarian travellers. Jain vegetarian requirements need advance notice -- we handle this.
NZ's UV levels are intense -- protect camera equipment and yourselves with SPF 50+. Tripods allowed at most outdoor sites. Drone permits required for most national parks (we can arrange). Best light is at dawn and dusk -- we schedule accordingly.
NZD is the local currency. ATMs widely available. SBI, HDFC, ICICI cards all work on Cirrus/Visa/Mastercard networks. Currency exchange better done in India or Auckland airport than at small towns. Google Pay and UPI do not work in NZ.
UPI, BHIM, PhonePe, and Paytm do not work in New Zealand. All payments by Visa/Mastercard credit or debit card, or cash NZD. Inform your clients before travel to ensure they have an international card ready.
NZ seasons are opposite to India -- December is summer (like Indian summer), June is winter. UV is much stronger than India even on cloudy days. Clothing should be layered -- NZ weather changes fast.
