About this tour
This private helicopter experience from Queenstown takes you into the heart of the Southern Alps — a landscape so vast and so dramatic that it must be seen from the air to be properly understood. The flight covers the Remarkables, the Richardson Mountains, and the high alpine terrain above the West Coast glacier systems.
The helicopter lands at a remote alpine location — either on a glacier or at a high mountain site accessible only by air. Your pilot guides you through the landscape, explaining the geology and ecology of one of the world's great alpine environments. The silence at altitude is extraordinary.
This tour is bookable for private groups of 2–6 passengers per helicopter. For larger groups, multiple helicopters can be arranged simultaneously.
